Brief introduction of this position:

The main task of this position is to monitor, identify, and assess potential public sentiment and reputational risks for DSSO, ID. UNYX and relevant products. He/She will need to lead the overall crisis preparedness and response strategy, including early warning mechanisms, crisis response protocols, media and social listening analysis, and post-crisis evaluation.

 

Key tasks:

  1. Monitor various media, social platforms, and public opinion channels to identify potential crisis signals related to DSSO, ID. UNYX band, and products like ID. UNYX 06& 07& 08.
  2. Prepare and polish crisis monitoring reports and provide the analysis of media performance based on weekly, monthly and industry insights to management.
  3. Establish and maintain the crisis case repository and knowledge management system, assist in developing and updating crisis management plans and response procedures.
  4. Track the follow-up developments of crisis events, evaluate response effectiveness, and propose improvements. Support the PR team in information collection and coordination during crisis incidents.
  5. Maintain the daily operation and data updates of monitoring tools and systems, assist in handling sensitive information in media inquiries and public feedback.
  6. Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and other departments to ensure message consistency and compliance, support internal crisis communication training and simulation exercises.
  7. Develop, maintain, and continuously update the enterprise-wide crisis management playbook, including protocols for identification, escalation, response, and recovery.
  8. Establish a robust early-warning system through constant media, social media, and stakeholder sentiment monitoring to identify potential issues.
  9. Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario-planning exercises (e.g., tabletop simulations) with key cross-functional partners (Quality, Legal, Engineering, Manufacturing, After-Sales).
  10. Prepare holding statements, Q&A documents, and communication templates for potential crisis scenarios.

 

Qualification and skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Experience in public relations, crisis management, or related fields. Experience in the automotive industry or with large multinational corporations is preferred.
  3. Familiar with public opinion monitoring tools and analytical methods.
  4. Excellent in the auto sector, the media landscape, and must possess strong analytical and crisis management skills.
  5. Strong insights in Chinese media environment and online public opinion landscape.
  6. Good adaptability and ability to work under pressure.
  7. Proficient in English as a working language, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
