Brief description of the position:

• This position holds the responsibility to strengthen trade compliance in the field of export control for VCIC and its allocated companies (VGIC, VCTC, VWATJ, VWATD, VWA, DSSO, which are part of the VGC Tax Group).

Key Tasks:

• Implement and perform export control risk assessment
• Implement Group policy and set up ICP, incl. taking over guidance & governance function for allocated companies
• Conduct necessary screening to ensure export control compliance for transactions/projects
• Develop and conduct trainings and further education to staff and management
• Handle ad hoc inquiries from special projects and fulfill the role as supervisory company
• Fulfill reporting obligations to K-FS-3
• Monitor export control laws and regulation changes and exchange the updates with K-FS-3
• Central coordinate and align judgments / operations / strategies among VW China entities
• Support customs clearance work

Qualification and skills:

• University bachelor/master degree in Customs/Finance, Business Administration ( engineering background is a plus)
• 4-5 years of professional experience in the field of export control
• Or 4-5 years of professional experience in customs/trade compliance
• IT knowledge: Microsoft Office applications (SAP is a plus)
• Language: Fluent English, German is a plus
• Certificates: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam or Tax advisor (TA) exam is a plus
• Personal Skills: Comprehensive specialist knowledge and continuous process control ability
• Strong entrepreneurial analysis, planning, judgment and decision-making skills
• High communication and negotiation skills as well as an interdisciplinary and cross-departmental way of working
