Goal of this position is to purchase relevant ECUS and other related electric parts matching the current ICV strategy of Volkswagen Group in China, with the focus of VCTC and VWA as entities. The position holder needs to to consider purchasing requirements in regard to timing, quality, technology, costs and strategy and align with inside stakeholders as well as outside suppliers.

Key Tasks:

• Source and nominate qualified suppliers for ECU-related and other projects incl. preparing RfQs, negotiating with suppliers, creating/presenting decision proposal in decision committee.
• Define and implement sourcing & supplier strategy with internal stakeholders.
• Conduct cost analysis, global sourcing and benchmark for continuous cost optimization.
• Scouting, develop and qualify suppliers to build up and improve supplier system, conduct continuous supplier management.
• Prepare, implement and negotiate contractual documents.
• Track the overview of sourcing projects across different platforms and e-architectures in regard to cost, timeline, and suppliers.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• Bachelor or above degree (major in engineering, business / project management, economics preferred)
• 5 years or above working experience in Purchasing area, VW purchasing experience is preferred.
• Good English communication skills in both spoken and written form
