Department Mission:

Ensure an up-to-date, high quality vehicle & powertrain calibration for Audi & VW in China

Support the market introduction of latest ICE and NEV technology

Your Responsibilities:

• Leading Powertrain Project Calibration and defining its strategy in China
• Implementation Powertrain Calibration Projects for VGC, VCTC, Audi AG, VW AG (ICE, Hybrid, Transmission, BEV & Battery) for region China
• Responsible for project-releases & -success within the defined time, quality and budget
• Supervise the calibration project content and timeline for all responsible series projects
• Responsible for the VCTC-YHA budget and the negotiation with Audi AG & VW AG
• Supervise and check the powertrain project calibration PS and WI
• Task force support for critical issues of engine development in region China
• Ensure Emission Compliance within all responsible projects and milestones
• Pre-analyze customer complaints and technical problems in Region China, including initiating the VW-group specific KPM process
• Test drive organization for Chinese projects & support service for AUDI / VW projects in China, incl. service support for non-localized projects

Required Qualification:

• Academic grade M.Sc. in mechanical or electrical engineering or comparable
• 10+ years of experience in engine development industry
• Leadership & Management experience
• Deep knowledge of ICE, Hybrid, BEV calibration and calibration process
• Deep knowledge of internal combustion engines and engine control (incl. electrification)
• Deep knowledge of electric motors and motor control
• Deep knowledge on development processes  
• Profound knowledge of product management and quality management
• Profound knowledge of powertrain homologation processes
• Strong communication skills with an inclination to tackle challenging situations
• Cooperative, analytical working, team spirit, inter-cultural competence
• Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking with strong initiative and self-reliance
• Profound MS-office skills
• Fluent communication in English (German and Chinese skills are beneficial)
