Brief description of the position:

The buyer takes responsibility for sourcing and management of chassis and powertrain parts for vehicle production. The position holder is expected to source the required components for various car projects, ensure the best material cost and timely delivery during mass production and accomplish sourcing projects/activities according to time schedule and reach defined commercial targets.

Key Tasks:

• Source and nominate qualified suppliers for responsible components, incl. support in RfQ preparation, collect quotation, define supplier strategy, negotiate with suppliers, create/present decision proposal in decision committee.
• Prepare, implement and update contractual documents.
• Coordinate and solve supplier’s delivery/goods quality/capacity problem to ensure series production.
• Spare parts ordering for production components and accessories.
• Implement purchasing role in change management after SOP.
• Define and implement sourcing & supplier strategy of responsible material group / parts.
• Conduct cost analysis, global sourcing and benchmark for continues cost optimization.
• Scouting, develop and qualify suppliers to build up and improve supplier system, conduct continues supplier (relationship) management.
• Participate in new supplier audit and evaluation.
• Support in production capacity & sales volume planning if required.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• Bachelor's degree or above (major in automotive engineering, business / project management, economics preferred)
• Working experience as a buyer in automobile OEMs is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of automobile components and applications 
• Proficient MS Office skills and presentation skills 
• Good negotiation, organization and interpersonal communication skills
