Your Responsibilities:

• Ensure the battery-related materials strategy for Region China (including JVs and VCIC) are aligned with VWAG. And ensure the implementation of concepts and measures for battery materials strategy to achieve the development and quality goals.
• Ensure the necessary standardization, product influence and lessons learned for battery-related material issues in the projects.
• Ensure the analysis competence for battery-related materials, including BMG/EMP release, failure analysis, battery module and cell tear down analysis, cell raw material evaluation.
• Ensure the know-how and necessary competence ramp-up for the whole life of battery related materials, from design to the recycling.
• Ensure that battery technology network in region China is established and coordinated.

Our Requirements:

• Education: University degree in one of the following areas: Engineering, material technology, chemical engineering, electronics engineering, chemistry or physics Bachelor degree or above.
• Work Experience: Minimum 3 years in the electric vehicle battery industry on the field of material technology.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities: Strong experience in one of the following fields: Li-ion batteries, electrochemistry, electric/electronics (high voltage). Strong analytical thinking and leadership, excellent communication and negotiation, problem solving, excellent team work, assuming responsibility and strong decision taking.
• English:  Fluent in English.
