Responsibility:

  1. Drive implementation of Volkswagen brand China strategy and proactively propose new strategic initiatives or strategy adaptation for long-term success of VW brand China
  2. Steer to ensure meaningful market assumptions as good planning basis reflecting local market dynamics, political situations, etc. and is insightful for VW brand volume & financial planning
  3. Establish comprehensive strategic implication based on market trends, customer demands, competition & internal strategic transformation (e.g. "in China for China")
  4. Define key mid/long-term planning assumptions, and build simulations on different strategic scenarios for long-term business potential forecast, gap identification and growth opportunities derivation
  5. Ensure anchorage of strategic targets into Cycleplan, ensure right target portfolio for the brand in China in mid-to-long-term considering e.g. market development, efficiency, JV differentiation
  6. Propose independently strategic targets for volume & financial planning (e.g. market share, Return on Sales) incl. targets recalibration under significant market adjustment
  7. Actively propose solutions / action plans to close gap remained between planning and strategic targets, steer agreement and definition & achievement of corresponding key results
  8. Prepare top management and committee presentations & briefings jointly w/ stakeholders for decision-making to drive strategy definition and proper operationalization, e.g. K-MGT, MV / MV-K CN
  9. Functionally steer & coordinate interdisciplinary project teams 10+ BUs representatives, moderate regular project team meetings & cross-entity workshops, steer (if required) external consultants
  10. Lead special projects & tasks from Head of Corporate Strategy VW Brand China
  11. Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder
  12. Advising other people holding positions at VCIC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible

 

Requirements:

Education and work experience:

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, math / statisticsor a related field, preferably Master degree

- 10+ years work experience, preferably in leading OEM or top mgmt. consulting w/ experience in various business areas

- 5+ years experience in Strategy, Finance, Planning or related roles

 

Skills and others:

- Strong knowledge in various automotive business areas (e.g. Product Strategy, Product Management, Corporate Strategy, Sales, Finance)

- Exceptional auto industry knowledge and deep understanding of automotive processes and procedures, preferably in multinational companies w/ strong inter-cultural skills

- Exceptional analytic, problem solving, organizational and communication skills

- Fluent in English and Chinese, German as additional advantage

- Strong entrepreneurship (proactive, ownership and “getting things done”)
