- Scope, objective and relevance of position .
The purpose and objective of this position is to develop functions and technology for the Chinese market. This position assures that this technology is competitive, compliant with Chinese laws, standards & regulations.
The position holder is responsible for the development of ADAS Parking Functions for all different E/E architectures in MEB, MLB and PPE platforms used within the whole Volkswagen Group in China and is responsible for implementation.
The objective is the development, integration, application and release of these systems for the cars of the Volkswagen brands in China - related to both: FBU and CKD vehicles.
The position holder is a strong interface and representative of German HQ to JVs FAW-VW and SVW.
According to the Volkswagen Group strategy, C\TF-3 gains an essential contribution for both: brands in Volkswagen Group as well as CarSW.Org. The success in the development of ADAS Parking technology is essential for the success of the whole Volkswagen Group in China in terms of competitiveness, premium demand, compliance to standards/regulations, etc.
This position holds the responsibility for the described tasks for the VW group and the brands AUDI, VW and Porsche for the Chinese market. This position has to serve a large amount of interfaces within Volkswagen Group China, Headquarters in Germany as well as international suppliers in respective field of technology development for ADAS / ADAP / ICV.
Responsible for system, function and component quality and project quality
• Track development progress of functionalities
• Ensure optimized test quality
• Product delivery with good quality for each start of production by monitoring performance of team
• Ensure milestones of ‘full function’, bug-0 and approvals
• Identify priority and critical issues during the project process and give guidance to team members
Responsible for System/Product Development and customer release (BMG Release and K-Release Recommendation) for the Volkswagen Group brands in the Chinese market, in field of ADAS:
• Technology
• Functions and Systems
• Modules (HW + SW)
Responsible for integration in vehicles, application and customer release (K-Release Recommendation) of ADAS Parking Functions for the Volkswagen Group brands in the Chinese market
Responsible for Development and maintenance of the C\TF-3 strategy and alignment with stakeholders; Technical plan and strategy
• Track feature trends in the industry and make plans accordingly to features development
• Draw up team development plan in order to generate features/functions that will be most competitive in the market
Stakeholder communication
• Escalation and decision on adequate actions with relevant parties
• Responsible to deliver comprehensive status reports to C\TF-3 head
• Communication with other leaders, suppliers and interface partners (see column “interfaces”)
