Your Responsibilities:
Technical key words:
- Active contribution in the Technology scouting phase, for future systems definition
- Analysis of Top Level Requirements and breakdown into System Requirements
- Definition of the System Architecture, in particular:
- Definition of the system borders (embedding into the overall vehicle platform architecture)
- Definition of the logical partitioning
- Definition of the HW/SW partitioning (technical view)
- High-level definition of the external and internal HW and SW interfaces (display, camera, other ECUs, vehicle connectivity (Ethernet, CAN, protocols), audio, debug, etc.)
- Definition of HW topology
- Definition of functional deployment (functional view)
- Definition of the coarse HW and SW architecture, in cooperation with the HW & SW Architects
- Specification of critical data flows
- Analysis of all use cases that shall run on the system from a system resource perspective and first estimation of the necessary system resources (RAM, Flash, CPU(s), GPU(s), bus bandwidth, etc.), including the release of a budget resource sheet to cover all relevant functional areas
- Definition of the necessary development strategies including the setting up of proof of concept prototyping activities in cooperation with Tier 1 and Technology Partners
- Preparation of system models with System Engineering professional tools, covering the overall functional deployment
- Contribution/Support of first series platform development phase up to system architecture readiness (100% SW Milestone) and alignment of system architecture with Tier1 system engineers
- Contribution/Support to the analysis of CRs for potential system impact before CR submission
- Preparation of the System Anatomy to show in which sequence to implement and bring up the different parts of the system
- Contribution to the definition of the overall technical and functional vehicle architecture by representing the cockpit/vehicle domain architecture in all vehicle architecture fora
- Analysis of relevant QLAH’s including feedback preparation to the authors
Required Qualification:
- Education: Bachelor degree or above in automotive, electrical engineering, computer science or similar
- At least 3-5 years working experience as a System Architect or Overall Vehicle Architect
- Overall System Understanding of Cockpit Domain (e.g. system architecture, test bench configuration, networking, etc.)
- Extensive experience gathered working on design and putting into operation of:
- Embedded Systems / Systems on Chip
- Firmware / Drivers design
- Operating Systems (e.g. Linux, QNX, Android)
- Virtualization and para-virtualization strategies
- Multiple system functions / enablers such as power management, diagnosis, audio architecture, system base
- Good understanding and experience with System Architecture / System Engineering Modelling and Simulation methods adopting professional tools
- Good knowledge of requirements management, project management / project tracking and collaboration tools such as DOORS, Jira, Confluence, SVN etc.
- Knowhow in Azure DevOps and CI/CD is beneficial
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced English (B2-C1 according to CEFR)
- German is beneficial
