Scope, objective and relevance of position

This position is accountable for the VGC Group R&D technical product requirement in associated with

regulation, law, sales needs, customer satisfaction, technical concept of feasibility.

This includes the steering and development of existing fields as technical product requirement of Hat project, platform, module, in order to fit the features and traits of the Chinese market and traffic situation and synergy with other group brand.

This position has the following scope, objectives and responsibilities:

• Ensure the company product successful rollout in china with china spec. adaptions from NEV market/ technical point of view
• Ensure regional aligned requirement successful into NEV, ICV strategy and implementation

Range of responsibility

This position is responsible for the described scope (part 2) and described tasks (part 4).

As central contact person of conventional models and autonomous driving topic, collaborate with internal and external department

This position holds the responsibility for the described tasks for:

• WOB R&D / Product Team etc.
• VGC R&D, Product team, Sales marketing, Quality Assurance
• JVs R&D

Major Task:

• Collect, analyze and identify the request and requirement on aspect of regulation, law, trends, sales needs, technical concept of feasibility related in Chinese market
• Define the requirements with tech. parameters for the whole vehicle features especially regarding NEV
• Fill out the ESK (Eigenschaftskatalog) (vehicle characteristic catalog)
• Describe and deliver the request and requirement in the ESK
• Coordinate and assignment of technical product requirement into the development and optimization of the VW Group Strategy Platform Align the requirements within all JV’s, brands etc.
• Harmonize or escalate the conflict of requirement from all the entities
• Participate all the regional requirement relevant platform and hat project team and circle, provide, track and clarify the requirement
• Create Chinese specific “Technical Market Requirement Foreseen” as a reference for the concept-development phrase regarding NEV, ICV
• Facilitate the innovation points from GS Management under consideration of china spec. situation, e.g. customer, competitor, legal/standard, infrastructure, trend etc.

Qualification and skills    

• Bachelor/Master study engineering, Business Administration or related Oversee study and automotive industry working experience
• Min. 3 years’ experience in R&D (priority: in HV battery, e-Motor or whole-vehicle-development or technical project leader/ coordinator or concept-development) or product management
• Background knowledge of whole vehicle development
  (Package, ergonomic, construction development as plus)
  (Project coordination, horizontal coordination or team management as plus)
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel. (CATIA, VB, Python as plus)
• Chinese native, English language (German as plus)
