Brief description of the position:

This position is responsible for conducting independent and objective internal audit related activities, including scheduled and unscheduled audits, audits from whistleblower systems and audit related consulting services, with main focus in the technical areas, such as IT, Logistics, Construction, Production, Quality assurance and R&D etc.

Key Tasks:

1. Plan, organize and perform scheduled and unscheduled audits based on determined audit objectives and in accordance with professional standards and VW internal audit processes.
2. Identify and evaluate processes design and execution, and observed weaknesses, identify root causes and define appropriate actions to improve the operation.
3. Review and evaluate the internal RMS/ICS of the audited operation based on the COSO system and consult with the responsible Audit Manager.
4. Identify potential personal misconduct or breach of governance tasks, internal and external policies and consult with the responsible Audit Manager.
5. Identify potential savings and – if possible – coordinate the charge backs from third parties during the audits engagement.
6. Consult with the Audit Manager on the audit planning and proceeding. Give regular status reports on the audit engagement and consult on relevant findings and decisions with the Audit Manager.
7. Communicate the audit findings and agree the proposed action plan with all management levels to ensure the continuous improvement and profitability of the operation.
8. Follow up the implementation of the audit actions including inter align the active tracking of actions, communication with the auditees and evaluation of the implementation.
9. Keep abreast of corporate policies and procedures. Develop own competences by being up-to-date on current developments in the audit profession and automotive industry.
10. Report the audit results in a clear, retractable, objective and targeted manner in an audit report for the responsible Executive/Management Board.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

Education: University degree in Business Management, Finance, Information Technology or Engineering; 

Working experience: More than 5 years of experience in auditing, consulting or operational managerial role in technology or commercial/compliance/risk management functions 

Knowledge, skills and others:

• Fluency in English and Chinese; 
• Strong ability in data and process analysis to identify operational weaknesses, process deviations and risks as well as to propose solutions or preventive countermeasures;
• Strong skills in written and verbal communication, soft skills in conflict management and project management;
• Displays the following traits: ethical, honest, objective, loyal, proactive.
• Confirm to follow ethics policies, act in accordance with relevant legal and professional expectations. be aware of objectivity’s importance and the obligation to disclose any potential impairments.
