职位描述: 

Brief description of the position:

The position holder steers various cross-organizational stakeholders across highly complex strategic initiatives to operationalize VW brand strategy in China with a focus on business model engineering and development. It requires dynamic business context analysis, opportunity identification, potential evaluation, new concept development, partnership research and implementation steering.

 

Key Tasks:

  • Drive implementation of Volkswagen brand China strategy and proactively propose new strategic initiatives or strategy adaptation for long-term success of VW brand China
  • Analyze market & Tech. trends, customer demands, & internal strategic transformation (e.g. "in China for China"), and identify new business opportunities to enlarge profit pool of Brand/Group in China
  • Develop independently innovative or adapted business model suitable for VW Brand China to capture new business opportunities and/or support transformation towards new strategic target picture
  • Define key mid/long-term assumptions and establish simulation on different strategic scenarios to evaluate business potential (e.g. scalability and profitability) and business impact
  • Advocate new business model among cross-organizational stakeholders (VCIC, VCTC, JVs & HQ), steer concrete evaluation e.g. technical feasibility, offer concept, and establish rollout plan
  • Proactively develop and align on novel approaches to solve challenges in strategy formulation and operationalization, e.g. lack of existing evaluation methodologies or processes/resource for new ideas
  • Prepare top management and committee presentations & briefings jointly w/ stakeholders for decision-making or status reporting to drive strategy formulation and operationalization
  • Steer cross-organizational stakeholders on implementation, and build & align on effective tracking methods incl. KPIs to measure success of new business model, develop necessary adjustment
  • Functionally steer & coordinate interdisciplinary project teams 10+ BUs representatives, moderate regular project team meetings & cross-entity workshops, steer (if required) external consultants
  • Lead special projects & tasks from Head of Corporate Strategy VW Brand China

 

Qualification and skills required for the position:

  • Master degree in Business Administration, Economics, engineering / automotive, Science and relevant fields
  • 5-10 years of work experience, with rich inter-disciplinary experiences and functional responsibility in Business Analysis, Project Mgmt. or Management Consulting etc.
  • Self-motivated and result-driven, highly proactively and organized
  • Strong knowledge in various automotive business areas (e.g. Product Management, Product Strategy, Business Innovation, Digitalization)
  • Exceptional auto industry knowledge and deep understanding of automotive processes and procedures, preferably in multinational companies w/ strong inter-cultural skills
  • Exceptional analytic, problem solving, organizational and communication skills
  • English (business fluent), Chinese (business fluent), German as a plus
