Brief introduction of this position:

This position is to provide research and analysis of vehicle safety and accident topics in order to define, communicate and promote VW Group position on active and passive safety in region China among related local authorities while working with technical development departments of the brand entities in Europe and the joint-ventures in China, VCIC, Audi China and Cariad China.

Key tasks:

1. Align and define VW Group position for safety topics in region China with brand headquarters in Europe as well as with Joint-Ventures;
2. Define needed technical preparation (accident data analysis, simulations, crash tests) for new safety topics and the promotion in external working groups or committees;
3. Perform accident data analysis based on the knowledge on external accident database such as CIDAS or FASS, accident coding methodology and accident reconstruction;
4. Understand the requirements from R&D of the VW Group entities in Europe and JVs in China for safety feature development supporting input into appropriate accident research data analysis approach;
5. Organization of alignment, information transfer from agencies & JVs to prepare VW Group position for new generation of safety tests in China;
6. Advising other people holding positions in VCTC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible.

Qualification and skills:

• Bachelor degree and above with major in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, mechanics, statistics and other relevant fields
• Min. 3 years in field relevant to vehicle safety and accident data analysis
• Inter-cultural and multi-language communication skills, Negotiation skills and convincing people;
• Fluent in Chinese and English, German is a plus;
• Time management skills &Project management skills;
• Technical knowledge in whole vehicle and solid mechanics& Technical knowledge or interest in safety of traffic and vehicles;
