5. Guide and Mentor Junior Designers: Provide feedback, inspiration, and professional guidance to junior team members. Help elevate the overall quality and consistency of the design team’s output.
6. Use 3D Tools for Digital Surfacing & Visualization: Translate 2D ideas into 3D forms using tools such as Alias, Blender, or Gravity Sketch. Collaborate closely with digtial and clay modelers to explore surface development and refine proportions.
7. Align with Brand & Innovation Strategies: Ensure that exterior proposals reflect brand values, innovation goals, and emerging design directions while being adapted to local and global markets.
8. Collaborate in Cross-Disciplinary Teams: Work closely with interior designers, CMF, UX, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive vehicle experiences across all visible touchpoints.
9. Stay Informed on Trends & Materials: Keep up with automotive design trends, materials, lighting elements, and digital visualization tools to bring modern, competitive concepts to the table.
10. Contribute to Concept Development Phases: Support exterior ideation from early sketches to clay or digital model validation, contributing across concept, pre-development, and advanced design stages.

Qualification:

1.  Degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, or Automotive Design
2. Minimum 5 years of working experience in automotive industry for Exterior Design with proven record of sucessfull production and showcar experience.
3. Strong portfolio showcasing creative and technically sound exterior vehicle design work. Proficiency in Photoshop, Blender, Alias, AI tools or similar 2D/3D tools. Experience in working on design proposals from sketch to 3D model. Knowledge of automotive packaging, feasibility constraints, and production processes. Awareness of China’s automotive market, trends, and consumer behavior is a strong plus. Experience collaborating with engineering, modeling, and feasibility teams. Mentoring or team collaboration experience is preferred. Passion for automotive design and a keen eye for proportion.
