Brief introduction of this position:

This position is a key field-based role for Export, serve as primary interface in Chengdu, taking care of end-to-end operational management for export business. The role combines operational responsibilities, requiring not only daily coordination with local government, and Jetta plants to ensure smooth logistics and customs process, but also deep involvement in the finance aspects of the business.

 

Key tasks:

  1. Be responsible for daily communication & coordination with Chengdu municipal and district-level Commerce Bureaus and Automobile Bureaus to ensure policy compliance and information sync.
  2. Handle customs affairs, including document review, clearance coordination, and issue resolution. Provide on-site coordination support to resolve ad-hoc issues in export processes (e.g., logistics)
  3. Maintain long-term relationships with government agencies, logistics providers, and partners to optimize operational efficiency.
  4. Ensure that export vehicles and aftersales operations strictly follow Group finance policies, processes, and compliance standards; proactively identify and manage financial and operational risks.
  5. Prepare monthly/yearly/long-term financial planning within Jetta brand’s vehicle and spare parts, and prepare analytical reports, including financial data broken down by market and vehicle models.
  6. Establish and maintain a financial record-keeping system for export operations in the Chengdu region. Coordinate with BU of Jetta company to resolve front-line issues(e.g. Finance, Logistics).
  7. Participate in the pricing process for Jetta brand’s spare parts business, control costs and ensure the business’s Return on Sales (RoS)
  8. Conducting financial feasibility studies and developing profitability models for Jetta brand vehicle projects, as well as overseeing financial feasibility studies for the spare parts business
  9. Check SO&POs for Jetta brand vehicles and spare parts, carry out basic finance compliance checks, report any anomalies or discrepancies in the orders, and report to Export Control Manager
  10. Liaise with local tax authorities to handle tax declarations, exemption applications, and compliance matters for the branch.

 

Qualification and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, International Trade, Business Admin., or a related field. Dual major in Finance and International Business or relevant professional cert preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience combining international trade/logistics and financial analysis/management. Experience in financial planning or cost analysis is a advantage.
  • Software Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel functions (e.g., PivotTables, Power Query) for complex data analysis and modeling.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (Sichuan dialect is a plus). Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks from both financial and operational perspectives, and to prepare detailed feasibility studies and profitability forecast models.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent cross-departmental communication and coordination skills.
