Brief description of the position:

As an service life expert in the field of HV battery system, define relevant product requirements, collaborate closely with external component responsible persons and internal system/subsystem/component responsible persons to ensure the compliance of the product with relevant requirements.

Key Tasks:

Definition and communication of service life related requirements. Lead the formulation of service life indicators (e.g., design life, warranty period reliability) and technical requirements based on market analysis. Coordinate cross-departmental communication to align teams and optimize requirements.

Securing the fulfillment of service life related requirements together with system engineer. 
As the service life interface, work with system engineers to decompose requirements into subsystem/component parameters. Participate in scheme reviews, identify design risks, track R&D progress, and conduct verification to ensure compliance.

Collaboration in service life related technical problem solving.
Lead root cause analysis for service life issues (e.g., early failure) using simulation, and testing. Collaborate on solutions, track effectiveness, and summarize preventive measures from cross-project reviews.

Evaluation of consequences of deviations from service life  perspective and formulation of a statement.
Establish a deviation evaluation system. Quantify the impact of R&D/process/supply chain changes on service life. Issue formal impact statements with risk levels and recommendations for management decisions.

Definition of service life related criteria (checklist, etc.) and verification for design freezes and releases.
Develop service life criteria (checklists, test specs, thresholds) covering drive mode, temperature, charging method, and performance. Lead service life verification before design freeze and release to ensure product quality.

Collaboration in product optimization, including cost reduction.
Propose design optimizations (new materials, simplified structures) to enhance cost-effectiveness without reducing service life. Collaborate on cost analysis, identify savings opportunities, and verify cost-reduction plan impacts.

Collaboration in project-specific evaluation and compliance check according to target market and/or global standards & regulations in terms of service life.
Conduct service life evaluation and compliance checks per target market regulations (e.g., C7, EU7, GTR22) and global standards. Convert regulatory requirements to design indicators and track standard updates for R&D adjustments.

Documentation of design activities within scope of responsibility according to relevant rules.
Comply with company and industry standards to document key service life information (design decisions, test data, rectifications). Prepare formal reports to meet filing, audit, and compliance requirements.

Service life related technical design in case of in-house development.
Lead service life design for in-house projects, including scheme formulation, fatigue simulation, aging test design, and material/component verification. Conduct scenario-based design to meet actual use requirements.

Service life related knowledge building and sharing.
Establish a service life knowledge base with technical schemes, cases, and standards. Organize training and sharing sessions to transfer expertise and enhance team capabilities.
