Brief introduction of this position:

The core mission of this position is to develop, analyze and improve Head Impact (ECER21/GB11552) and Curtain Airbag deployment using CAE tools. Planning and performing Head Impact test and airbag deployment simulation. This includes the elaboration of engineering solution as well as the communication & exchange with respective stakeholder and JVs in China.

Key tasks:

1. evelopment, review and approval recommendations in Airbag deployment simulation and Head Impact performance.
2. Plan Head Impact test and airbag deployment simulation matrix and related model demands, make sure all the resources quality and arrival can meet the project requirements.
3. Build airbag deployment simulation models according to simulation specification.
4. Perform Head Impact test and simulation for airbag deployment, generate simulation reports and documents.
5. Analyze simulation performance,  make effective countermeasures for structure/interior parts/ restraint system parts.
6. Coordinate the airbag deployment and Head Impact performance topics and communication with related department and act as general contact from occupant simulation (airbag deployment).
7. Report achievements and deviations. Prepare status reports & decision paper for your supervisor and upper management.
8. Report on critical issues / job stoppers to supervisors and develop approaches to solve issues regarding your working field.
9. Proactively initiate training demands for this position as well as support & mentoring for unexperienced team members.

Qualification and skills:

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, automotive engineering or similar.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience, in automotive industry in Occupant Simulation and Simulation-Testing validation or Airbag simulation within the relevant areas.
• Deep understanding of CAE Environment in automotive processes and procedures, VW project experience preferred.
• Working experience in one or more of next fields is mandatory:
• Crash simulation/Occupant simulation/Pedestrian simulation/Airbag simulation/Testing Validation
• Fluently in Chinese & English.
