Job Description
This position holds the responsibility for all matters about the work in development and localization for front axle parts in VW(Anhui)
- Development for front axle parts according to VW process
- Independent component development / further development in coordination with the WOB department
- Benchmark the functions and the components
- Constructive new and further development as well as localization of components for new vehicle projects as well as model maintenance and change scopes from project takeover until EOP
- Support of the activities for the creation of project-related AWS or job split and SOC agreements
- Support and cooperation with other business areas on technical issues in the area of front axle
- Continuous reduction of vehicle material costs and implementation of low-cost solutions
- Assessment of the technical competence of the development / service partner
- Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and compliance with legal requirements
- After-sales problem, test problem, production problem solving
- Leverage partner’s knowhow for future development
- Provide technical guidance in most urgent needed areas for partner
- Formulate the development planning for group and formulate the training plan for new colleague
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree and above majored in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar.
- Language skills: German and/or English: fluent in speaking and writing
- 3+ years of working experience in mechanical parts development in OEMs
- Deep understanding of axle parts development processes and procedures, familiar with Volkswagen Group organization, systems and processes especially in supplier management processes, localization and release process and engineering requirements.
- Ability to formulate and execute development plans
- Evaluate the test reports, formulate the optimization and compile recommendations for approval of front axle parts
- Highly pro-active working attitude
- Proven track-record in collaboration within intercultural project teams
- Good communication skills, incl. hands-on and team-player attitude
- Ability to quickly establish a professional network within related working environment
- Natural curiosity to get familiar with new topics and eager learner
- High professional and ethical attitude to represent VWA towards external business partners
- Feeling at ease to communicate with higher management under business pressure
