岗位描述/Department Mission：

To Work with the battery manufacturer to ensure the delivery and performance of the battery cell. To Deliver the battery specifications to the battery manufacturer, and track the progress of the battery cell design, validation. To become the Battery cell interface among the corresponding departments for module, pack and vehicle.

主要职责/Your Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the described scope and described task for the battery cell development with the partner in the region China:

• Understand partner’s cell technology including cathode, anode, separator and electrolyte and participate cell development.
• Validate the cell so it can meet the requirement of VW module and pack, including safety, clycle life, power performance, mechanical and electrical specification.
• Leverage partner’s cell knowhow for future development
• Provide technical guidance in most urgent needed areas for partners
• Become the Battery cell interface among the corresponding departments for module, pack and vehicle.

岗位要求/Required Qualification:

Education: MS degree in Electrochemistry, Chemical/Electrical Engineering. Ph.D is a plus.

Work Experience：

• 5 years+ experience in automotive battery cell design/validation/system integration, hands-on experience on cell design and validation is a plus
• Experience on Prismatic Cell development is preferred
• Deep dive into one of  the following areas:  High nickel Cathode materials, venting design, stacking/winding process and swelling force control.
• Comprehensive understanding of cathode materials, anode materials, separator and electrolyte
• Strong system battery safety mindset and experience in cell thermal runaway
• Knowledge of critical cell manufacturing process

• Able to communicate effective on different levels – from shopfloor to top

• Team player
• Wiliness to travel (>50% working days)

English: 

• Fluent in English and Chinese, basic German helpful
• Quality tools including APQP, FMEA and cell test standards
