Your Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical parts development of PPE, MEB and future projects
    • Create requirement and concept topics for mechanical parts during concept, series development phase and while series maintenance
    • Implement hardware specification & development requirements of related hardware
    • Support benchmarking of mechanical parts for the Chinese Market
    • Reporting towards TPL, SE and TL for development status or escalation
  • Release for mechanical scope of BEV & PHEV battery system
    • Responsible for approach, preparation and collection of release relevant input and information, also organization of activities e.g. testing, protocol, etc. relevant for release
    • Tracking of release approach and execution within mechanical scope and pro-active risk prevention
    • Alignment with stakeholders (e.g. VW/Audi Germany) for release approach
    • Release responsibility for mechanical parts
  • Technical Group-level and JV alignments
    • Interface towards different departments, JV for Mechanical relevant technical topics
    • Interface towards AG, JV and battery partners for Mechanical parts relevant technical topics on HVB level
  • Procurement management
    • Responsible for align and prepare procurement documents for technical support, research and development
    • Support TL for cost evaluation
    • Support TL for supplier payment and delivery confirmation

 

Required Qualification:

  • Education: MS degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering in automotive or any respective fields
  • Personal skills:
    •  
    • Professional experience in Mechanical parts development
    • Skilled in mechanical parts approval processes in automotive industry
    • Knowledge in CATIA or other 2D/3D tools
    • Aware of ISO26262 and functional safety requirements
    • Strong problem solving abilities in complex environment
    • Able to communicate effective on department levels - from shopfloor to department management
    • Analytical thinking
    • Able to fast network in region China with different stakeholders/entities
    • Already networked in Volkswagen Group helpful
    • Engineering univ. degree; automotive industry and powertrain knowledge required
    • 3+ years working experience
    • Fluent English is must, Chinese and German are preferred
