Scope, objective and relevance of position    

 

  1. Synchronization:

Maintain regular reporting, harmonization and synchronization within VCIC, interface to headquarter and JVs.

 

  1. Ensure all project related goals:
    Develop self responsible a time plan for VCU releases in order to meet required vehicle milestones and compound data freezes current and future legal and customer requirements together with project leader calibration (PL-A), supplier, software planer and all relevant stake holders.
     
  2. Sub Releases VCU:
    granting sub approval for VCU related contents in order to fufill P10 process. Appraisal and approval of P9 results and release advices by C-EA, the joint venture partners and/or external partners

 

  1. Technical Supervision:
    Conduct and supervise testing and measurement for the recommendation of sub approval VCU within the P10

 

  1. Ensure compliant work in the related calibration projects:

The position holder is responsibility to ensure the level of maturity of the documentation in the related calibration projects. This should be done with respect to the P9 milestones and reporting in the respective milestone meetings and escalation in case of deviation.

 

  1. Commissioning of prototype cars:

Check up of pre series vehicles according to EA relevant points, before handover of the vehicles to EA customers.

Commisoning of prototype cars (CP7) to analyse problems and prepare VCU dataset to ensure CP8

 

  1. Handling of VCU complaints:

Analyse VCU related KPM or complaints. Coordinate problem solving process for market specific complaints. Strong exchange with HQ.

 

  1. Representing C-EA25:

Provide fast problem solving decisions for entrepreneurial critical powertrain calibration related field. Especially for but not limited to issues with high cost risk, high authority attention or safety related topics.

Implement and establish early warning systems for problems around powertrain calibration related topics.

Achieve strategic decisions regarding powertrain calibration in related committees. Achieve strategic decisions regarding conceptual changes of powertrain products in quality-committees. Ensure customer satisfaction with powertrain products.

 

Range of responsibility

  1. Powertrain concepts for brand VW/Audi in Chinese Market:
    • Project planning for the calibration of powertrains (MEB calibration)
    • Leading through the project plan and assuring the milestones
    • Approving the milestones

 

  1. Joint Venture powertrain concepts brand Audi, VW and Skoda:
    • Project planning for the calibration of powertrains (MEB calibration)
    • Leading through the project plan and assuring the milestones
    • Approving the milestones

 

Qualification and skills    

  • Academic grade in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in powertrain development
  • Deep knowledge of drivability calibration, calibration process and engine control
  • Profound knowledge of quality management, and product management
  • Leadership experience in different projects
  • Cooperative, analytical working, team spirit, intercultural competence
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking with strong initiative and self-reliance
  • Profound MS-office skills
  • Language skills:     English for business- and technical discussion
