Brief description:

This position monitors the implementation of whole vehicle corrosion projects, such as technical development K-Geko, QA series monitoring (e.g. PK5), Authentication tests etc. The position provides testing results of materials corrosion and issues release recommendation for whole vehicle (GFF) anti-corrosion performance in the region China. 

 Key Tasks:

1.Define a criteria for the vehicle selection of whole vehicle corrosion QS series monitoring project. 

2.Monitor and track the whole vehicle corrosion testing project. In case of deviations, escalation to management in all related stakeholders. 

3.Develop and release possible whole vehicle corrosion testing scopes in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards in region China. 

4.Carry out the technical evaluation on the whole vehicle anti-corrosion performance. 

5.Establish specific whole vehicle corrosion working group in the region China to exchange know-how with the JVs. Communicate corrosion know-how of China region to Volkswagen Group in Germany 

6.Train material technology employees in JVs, to ensure testing competence in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards 

7.Evaluate suppliers, 3rd party and JVs laboratories to ensure material testing in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards 

8.Ensure maintenance and calibration of the equipment under their responsibility 

Qualification and skills：

1.The necessary education for this position requires a university degree in one of the following areas (Bachelor, Master or PhD): Material technology, Chemical engineering, or other natural sciences. 

2.Min. 5 years working experience in the automotive industry (OEM’s or suppliers) on the field of materials technology, anti-corrosion or surface treatment.
