Brief description of the position:

Responsible for fire operation & security site management of Battery Workshop(VWAC) and HF1 Plant including overall fire operation management and security operation support. Make sure the Battery Workshop and HF1 Plant is compliance with the local legal requirement as well as VW group requirements in fire protection and operational security.

 Key Tasks:

1. Establish, maintain and update the fire protection management system in VW EV and HV Battery Plants, includes related process, regulation, instruction of fire protection and emergency response, special for HV Battery risk.
2. Fire design planning, fire acceptance, leading fire protection maintenance and repair, system regular testing, emergency response and HV battery temperature IR monitoring related equipment and facility.
3. Define, planning and implement of the fire protection and emergency response measures on full life cycle of HV battery. From raw material storage, manufacture, testing, finished goods storage, transportation to final disposal.
4. Organize and implement fire protection and HV battery related emergency response drills and training, support other non-fire protection related emergency response drills.
5. Conduct the internal fire protection assessment by 3rd party expert, and support the external loss prevention audit from VW Group by GRC. Define and take corrective actions after receiving the assessment/audit reports.
6. Responsible for NEO training - fire protection part for new employees and other regular fire protection related training for VW employees.
7. Management of the on site fire system service vendor and fire fighters from plant fire brigade. Supervision of the performance, delivery and behavior of on site fire system service vendor and fire fighters from plant fire brigade.
8. Stakeholder management, as the contact window work with VW internal stakeholders - plant service, EHS, process planning, construction management; and external stakeholders - public fire department, landlord of buildings.
9. Issue hot work permit and conduct the hot work supervision in VW EV plant and HV battery plant. Conduct the regular fire protection inspection and risk assessment of the HV battery.
10. Supervision and support of on site security guarding service and other 3rd party on site security service vendors.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• Bachelor's degree or above, major on safety engineering, civil engineering, plumbing and drainage, or other fire protection related majors.
• 1. At least 5 years working experience in fire protection area, includes 3 years in EV or HV battery plant as a fire protection management role.
  2. working experience in HV battery plant is a must.
• 1. Tier 1 Certificated fire protection engineer(一级注册消防工程师) is a must.
  2. Familiar with local fire protection and HV battery laws and GB codes.
  3. Skilled at Autodesk software, able for fire system CAD design and review as daily working.
  4.Familiar with the fire protection and emergency response measures on HV battery and EV, special for temperature IR monitoring system and High-pressure fine water mist system.
  5. Experience of fire station or fire brigade management is a plus.
  6. working experience in international or global company is a plus.
  7. Familiar with NFPA fire standards is a plus.
