Brief description of the position:
This position is leading financial planning and monitoring with focus on Warranty and supplier chargeback considering group standards and local regulations. This position is key to assure sufficient provisions to face warranty liabilities and monitor its usage. Warranty controller will guide warranty work and supplier chargeback process to optimize costs and maximize chargeback income potentials.
Key Tasks:
- Definition and implementation of warranty and supplier chargeback financial process aligned with group standards and local requirements.
- Lead Warranty and supplier chargeback strategic and operative financial planning aligned with group & local requirements.
- Preparing and monitoring of warranty an supplier chargeback budgets.
- Warranty and supplier chargeback provision planning for the new car projects.
- Support BUs by extended warranty and goodwill strategy definition providing financial information and analysis.
- Implementation and rollout of warranty payment system (WAPAS) to assure business day to day operations.
- Support rollout and connection of supplier chargeback system with finance systems.
- Lead warranty payment and KPI analysis to monitor warranty performance, budget usage and deviations. Financial statements and reporting on warranty.
- Lead chargeback analysis to monitor supplier chargeback performance, report deviations. Financial statements and reporting on supplier chargeback.
- Determine possible improvement and cost efficiency measures for warranty and supplier chargeback process; Collaborate with Business units to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder.
- Advising other people holding positions at VCIC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible.
Qualification and skills:
Bachelors degree in Economics or finance.
Working experience:
3-5 years’ experience in finance related with Automotive industry.
Understanding of automotive business processes and systems is a plus.
Knowledge, skills and others:
• Fluent in English, German is plus.
• Excellent MS Office skills are a must.
• SAP and financial system knowledge.
• Experience related with aftersales is a plus.
• Python, Tableau, Confluence, Power BI, etc. are a plus.
