Brief Description:

This position provides testing results of operational fluids and coordinates all technical releases(BMG) for region China (including JVs and component plants). It also provides to Volkswagen Group market survey of fuel quality in the Chinese market. This position has special knowledge to perform operational fluids failure analysis, supporting the failure resolution process (FAP) in China region.

Key Tasks:

• Responsible and coordinate for operational fluids and process material release between China region and WOB in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards.
• Perform detailed failure analysis; define possible root causes and corrective measures to support FAP in China region. Develop lessons learn for new projects based on the performed analysis.
• Develop, test and evaluate cost reduction ideas and new materials in accordance with the requirements of China market.
• Build, maintain and coordinate specific operational fluids working group in region China to exchange know-how within the region and be the bridgehead to communicate results to Volkswagen Group in Germany.
• Define corrective measures together with JVs and Material Technology VW-Group.
• Responsible and coordinate for K-CMS release between China region and WOB in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards.
• Build, maintain and coordinate K-CMS Network in region China. Ensure know how transfer within the region and be the bridgehead to Volkswagen Group in Germany.
• Establish round robin testing within material technology laboratories in the region China.
• Evaluate supplier laboratories together with JVs to ensure material testing in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards.
• Ensure maintenance and calibration of the equipment under their responsibility.

Qualifications and skills:

• The necessary education for this position requires a university degree in one of the following areas (Bachelor, Master or PhD): Material technology, Chemical engineering, Chemistry or physics.
• Working Experience in running chemical analysis equipment preferably fuels. At least 5 years working experience in chemical lab.
• English language is required for this position, additional German language is preferred. Strong experience in the use of operational fluids is preferred.
