FOSS (Free Open Source Software) is any software distributed under the Terms of Use and License for OSS, whose essential obligation is the distribution or disclosure of the source code of the Software. In order to ensure that FOSS is used lawfully and that a threat to Volkswagen compliance can be ruled out, a licensing FOSS audit is always required.

Key Tasks:

Support OSS scan activities according to the FOSS process.

Design and implement FOSS-related tools , e.g. Blackduck.

Support FOSS technical activities for trainings, events, document distributions and maintain project ticket system.

Exchange with the relevant departments regularly or on-demand, inclduing R&D, legal team, finance team.

Exchange with the counterparts in JVs regularly or on-demand.

Per each vehicle development timing plan, to make FOSS Check work plan and to ensure consistency with main milestone.

Calculate FOSS check component quantity of a calendar year to make yearly work plan.

Yearly and quarterly cost management to ensure business running. To forecast budget of each quarter and request budget release in quarterly budget release meeting.

Keep regular exchange with external law firm for legal topic exchange and cooperation.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

Bachelor degree or above in communication engineering, information system related, EE engineering, computer science or similar 

Working experience: (1)2~3 years PMO experience. (2)Strong capabilities and skills of planning, communication, cooperation & coordination, problem solving, and documentation. (3) Excellent English is a must. 

Knowledge, skills and others: (1) Working experience in the entity of VW group, including Audi AG, Porsche AG, Cariad China, etc. or any other OEM is prefered. (2) Familiar with BlackDuck, open source tools, or Linux OS
