• Process planning Body Shop from early phase till SOP
• Product planning (Simultaneous Engineering) to ensure product producibility
• Qualify and enable Chinese equipment supplier to VW overseas & domestic project

Your Responsibilities:

Technical key words: process planning, product planning, supplier management

• Evaluate and optimize Body Shop production investment in early phase of project
• Develop Body Shop production line concept from early phase till detailed technical specification for line-builder nomination
• Conduct onsite pre-series coordination. Ensure the product and production line meet VW SOP release and acceptance standard
• As production representative, work together with technical development department on new products to ensure the product producibility in VW car plant
• As bridge role between China and globe, supervise and qualify Chinese equipment suppliers for VW overseas project, ensure the equipment which are in China pre-assembled meet the delivery deadline as well as VW partner’s acceptance standard

Required Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering in one of the following subjects: mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, automation/electrics.
• Familiar with VW car body process planning in whole project phases, i.e. early phase investment evaluation, production concept development, technical specification (Lastenheft) preparation, pre-series onsite coordination till handover qualified equipment to production
• Proven track record in pre-series onsite coordination and line-builder management
• Familiar with VW product/production standard, experienced in hang-on parts is a plus
• Experienced in VW ENP projects
• Fluent in Chinese and English is a must, German is a plus
• Customer orientated and a team player
• In line with the business requirements of the company, high willingness to travel for business and temporary relocation mainly in China and occasionally abroad is preferred
