Job Responsibilities：

1.Offering Method and Die Design Concepts regarding feasible product and process manufacturing of R&D data for cold forming stamping single parts

2.Considering Springback Solutions for Prio 1 in-house stamping parts including cold forming material flow, ZSB (specially hemming), KTL and additional assembly behaviors

3.Cooperating with VCTC EK, ED and ES as well with suppliers regarding manufacturing concepts

4.Ensuring compliance with all PEP milestones (product development process) during development phase of vehicle within scope of responsibility

5.As bridge role “Method Plan / Die Concepts” between R&D and Process Planning, supervise and checking feasibility of R&D data, start and read Simulations of part feasibility and give suggestions to R&D and implementing solutions with die suppliers to ensure part quality

6.Creating stamping manufacturing concept for in-house made parts – if buy-part supporting alignment approved then as well for Prio 2 etc. parts - considering the production conditions and ensuring target achievement of press dies development process in terms of quality, costs and project milestones

7.Create Lessons Learned environment for feedback of final product data to next launch regarding Design, Product and Feasibility data (using and updating design criteria and product catalogs)

8.Implementation of innovations and improvements such as new cost-optimized product and/or manufacturing concepts to ensure the multi-brand approach in the area of responsibility

9.Evaluate and implement product changes on schedule (e.g. AEKOs)

10.Implementation of R&D reviews (such as feasibility reporting) and steering supplier’s engineering

11.Develop & Qualify Press Die supplier for cold forming press parts, especially skin panel parts also called Prio 1 parts & familiar with sampling process and reaching STB & ST

12.Coordinate and align needs of external service providers (engineering)

13.Representation of planning projects in VW internal committees and reporting meeting with nominated die suppliers

14.Create a pleasant work-life-balance for colleagues and team members 

Job requirement：

1.Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering in one of the following subjects: mechanical engineering, automotive engineering

2.Familiar with VW car body & press shop/die process planning in whole project phases (min. 3 VW project launches regarding early phase), i.e. early phase Design/Strak and feasbility evaluation, product concept development, technical specification preparation, coordination till handover feasible data and concepts to realization planning team

3.Special Knowledge of Feasibility and Design software; long term (min. 5+ years) experience with Autoform and CATIA necessary

4.Knowledge about manufacturing feasibility, method plan validation, die design principles, stamped part surface audit and measurement process validation

5.Knowledge of press shop and body shop (equipment such as presslines, tryout, CNC, CMM, GOM and hemming);

6.Knowledge of Series and Small-Serie/Pre-Series Press Dies and manufacturing process;

7.Project and Business Management Skills ，high degree of responsibility and professionalism with self-organizing skills

8.Fluent in Chinese and English is a must, German is a plus

9.Knowledge about Volkswagen standards, processes and systems (KVS, DPS, BeOn, Avon, SRM, EDS, BMG, PEP, QTR, RPS, PMP, SKD, ENP etc. is a plus)

10.Communication skills and the ability to work with MSoffice to create consistent presentations

11.Customer orientated and a team player

12.Experience in a cross-cultural work environment is a plus

13.In line with the business requirements of the company, high willingness to travel for business and temporary relocation mainly in China and occasionally abroad is preferred
