Job Description:
Technical on-site engineer with the responsibility of new car/powertrain projects with selected heavy items and non-heavy items process to ensure the quality and quantity of purchased parts of the engine/gearbox/e-drive/battery pack car-milestones and SOP for local and export projects
Key Responsibility:
- Coordination with the Purchasing, the Quality Assurance, the Technical Development and Logistics for Quality and capacity issues of the purchased parts
- Through the QTR (Quality Technical Review) evaluation to Supervise, assess and monitor supplier’s consideration and implementation of the qualitative and quantitative requirements of the parts during quotation phase
- Common decision making of project timeline with suppliers:
- check the timeline, evaluate the plausibility
- find out the potential improvement and implementation with suppliers
- Analyses of suppliers manufacturing feasibility
- checking the developing-, tooling-, storage- and production processes at supplier side.
- checking their plausibility and optimization accordingly based on the critical aspects
- Optimization of projects in different phases
- Evaluation of weak points
- Analyze Parts, Tools, Production equipment of Suppliers
- Deep dive the reliability of sub-suppliers
- Support in finding measures for improvement
- Steer the implementation of improvement measures
- Ensuring the capacity
- Evaluation and securing of Supplier’s capacity in different project milestone for SOP
- Assessing the reliability of supplier chain of tier1 suppliers
- Maintain sufficient sensitivity to shortages of electronic sub-components and price increasing of raw materials
- Supporting series capacity bottleneck
- Preparing and reporting of the project status in different committee and escalation meeting
- Ensure supplier production readiness according to defined milestone checkpoints (9-Gate / RGA process / SFN process / 360 degree assessment etc.) by means of on-site activities (e.g. quality technical reviews, supplier production capability assessment etc.) . This includes the planning, coordination, execution and follow-up of those activities
- Using the remote work tools e.g. Teams, Video conferences etc. to track the project progresses efficiently and systematically
Qualification and Skills:
- Technical engineer or comparable studies
- At least 5 years working experience in the automotive industry
- Experience of electronic parts, e.g. the know-how of production processes & the composition of supply chains etc. as a plus
- Working experience abroad preferred
- Speaking Fluent Chinese and English. German is a bonus.
- Required software know-how (Microsoft office; CAD; Moldflow;…)
