Key Tasks:

• Responsible for formation process related work from R&D till industrialization
• Drawing review and optimization with R&D members in Germany and external partners
• Process flow building according to new battery design
• Support production at partner’s facilities, able to tackle formation process issues from R&D phase to industrialization
• Continuously improve the process yield and cell consistency
• Design experiment and summarize process validation data, prepare the reports, and propose feasible improvement plans
• Provide professional support for technical agreements of production line retrofit or ramping up
• Be able to prepare process document, such as CP PFMEA PFD
• As main interface between VW group and external partners, coordinate joint problem solving about process as well as know-how transfer
• Deep technical knowledge of battery technology, be able to correlate the impact of the problem on the front and back processes 

Qualification and skills required for the position

• Bachelor degree or above in mechanics, chemical engineering, chemistry, material, electronics, automation, etc.
• 5+ years of prismatic formation experience at top battery company or top car company battery department etc.
• On-site experience with prismatic battery supplier is desired 
• Hands on experience for trouble-shooting on-site processing problems for prismatic cell including processing refining and device revision or update, so on. like drying procedure optimization, plug welding problem, formation data analysis, film wrapping, etc
• Be able to network in Volkswagen Group, able to fast network in region China with different stakeholders/entities
• Experience with full product life cycle as from concept to series production
• Experience in Quality Systems (APQP/PPAP) processes is desired English: Good at reading and writing
