Brief description of the position:

Position Holder represents the interests of production externally & internally. Externally, the position respresent P-divisions in the product team, model series management and commitees along the PEP and according to jobsplit with JV. Internally, he coordinates all departments, ensures exchange of information between VCIC, VCTC and JVs and directly impacts SOPs.

Key Tasks:

Project Management Production represents his business area in the model series management and commitees according to the concerned projects

Supports all approvals necessary for project progress for the projects on the platforms developed "in China, for China"

Interface with other departments such as Project Management at VGC, product and process planning in Germany and China (VGC and JVs)

Coordinates the P-departments with each other and ensures exchange of information between VW, VCIC, VCTC and JVs according to legal requirements

Supports for internal project management and creating the best framework conditions for the internal line organization based on specified standards

Ensures that respecting projects are carried out in a financial targeted, timely and economical manner 

Ensuring the cost, quality and timely implementation of project processes, including new processes, strategies and methods at corresponding factory

Initiation of evaluations and optimizations of product and manufacturing costs as well as their plausibility through benchmarks

Communicates with internal and external customers and stakeholders across all levels of the hierarchy

Supports for tracking/reporting project status to EVP level, initiating & implementing measures in the event of deviations from targets & escalating them

Qualification and skills required for the position:

Engineering and/or business management univ. degree

5+ years - experience in at least one planning department or project steering unit 

Deep understanding of planning processes and interfaces

Deep understand of project processes according to the PEP

Basic understanding of Volkswagen committees

Basic understanding in financial and project controlling issues

Basic experience in team coordination or steering

Able to communicate effective on different levels

from shop-floor to top management

Analytical thinking

Several years of project experience within planning
