Brief introduction of this position:

This position holds the responsibility for leading a multidisciplinary team based on Baureihe or PM structure, managing related suppliers in timing, cost, technology, quality, parts optimization. She/he has also the responsibility of the cross functional coordination of the projects inside the department EK-Exterior. He/She must regard legal compliance and delivery in costs, tech. quality, time.

Key tasks:

1. Lead the Fachgruppe-K.
2. Managing project timing, incl, technical status, material cost, weight etc, prepare project status and report on critical issues / job stoppers and develop approaches to solve issues.
3. Preparation of targetcommitments, incl. material cost (MEK), timing and reporting.
4. Managing and documentation of AEKO (product modification), AWE (permission to deviation), BMG and K-Release .
5. Support for the fulfilling of the Stueckliste, technical product description (TPB), alignment of the “Eigenschaftskatalog”
6. esponsible for EK related suppliers managing overview in terms of rating, timing, cost, technology, competence, quality, parts optimization and risk.
7. Responsible for the development the low cost supplier and innovation suggestion and implementation through the collaboration with suppliers and Fach-team.
8. Responsible for the Project Anlauf support of the parts quality/concept problems.
9. Technical support for job splits. Link between the department and the project, support the preparation of the project schedule and represent the interests of the departments.
10. Support for other overarching activities such as QMS, SOC Management, Layout, Compliance, Legal, IT.

Qualification and skills:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar. Broad knowledge and well-founded technical understanding in all relevant interior or exterior parts/systems.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in automotive industry.
• Deep understanding of automotive processes and procedures, familiar with Volkswagen Group organization, systems and processes
• Skillful coordinating teams
• Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English. German knowledge is appreciated .
