Job responsibilities：

1.Ensure compliance with all PEP milestones (product development process) during vehicle launch within scope of responsibility

2.Evaluate and optimize Press Shop production investment in early phase of project and coordinate with Group Benchmarks

3.Evaluate in-house production process depending on the make-or-buy decision according to the company strategy

4.Coordination of planning premises taking into account the corporate strategy as well as designing economical and process-reliable manufacturing concepts through active product influence (ENP)

5.Check and/or creation of alternative concepts within the planning premises

6.As production representative, work together with technical development department on new products to ensure the product feasibility (supported by Engineering Experts) and milestones in early phase

7.Representation of planning projects in VW internal committees in early phase (such as K-VAI, K AK, etc.)

8.Implementation of innovations and improvements such as new cost-optimized manufacturing concepts to ensure the multi-brand approach in the area of responsibility

9.Scouting and sourcing suppliers with worked out premises and scopes

10.Develop & Qualify Press Die supplier for cold forming press parts, especially skin panel parts also called Prio 1 parts & familiar with sampling process and reaching STB & ST

11.Create a pleasant work-life-balance for colleagues and team members

12.As bridge role “Early Phase & Marketing” between China and globe, supervise and qualify Chinese equipment suppliers for VW overseas project, ensure the equipment which are in China pre-assembled meet the delivery deadline as well as VW partner’s acceptance standard 

Job requirement：

 1.Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering in one of the following subjects: mechanical engineering, automotive engineering

2.Familiar with VW car body & press shop/die process planning in whole project phases (min. 2 VW project realized/implemented), i.e. early phase investment evaluation, production concept development, technical specification (scope statements/Lastenheft) preparation, pre-series onsite coordination till handover qualified equipment to production

3.Knowledge of press shop and body shop (equipment such as presslines, tryout, CNC, CMM, GOM and hemming);

4.Knowledge of Series and Small-Serie/Pre-Series Press Dies and manufacturing process; Knowledge about manufacturing feasibility, method plan validation, die design principles, stamped part surface audit, measurement process validation, SPC, (rack design principles and validation is a plus)

5.Project and Business Management Skills ，high degree of responsibility and professionalism with self-organizing skills 

6.Fluent in Chinese and English is a must, German is a plus

7.Knowledge about Volkswagen standards, processes and systems (KVS, DPS, BeOn, Avon, SRM, EDS, BMG, PEP, QTR, RPS, PMP, SKD, ENP etc. is a plus)

8.Communication skills and the ability to work with MSoffice to create consistent presentations and Catia to make product version comparisons

9.Customer orientated and a team player

10.Experience in a cross-cultural work environment is a plus

11.In line with the business requirements of the company, high willingness to travel for business and temporary relocation mainly in China and occasionally abroad is preferred
