Brief description of the position:

• This position builds, maintain and scales the strategic partnerships collaboration ecosystem in R&D, focusing on R&D IP strategy, patent value chain and key project execution. It ensures that academic research translates into business and technology impact, converts IPR insights into innovation protection to boost the company's tech innovation and core competitiveness.

Key Tasks:

1. Develop and execute a university collaboration strategy; define a long-term partnership road map aligned with corporate technology and innovation priorities
2. Identify and initiate strategic partnerships. Proactively scout universities and research centers in relevant fields and establish formal collaboration agreements, joint labs or research programs
3. Act as a bridge between internal BUs and Academia. Coordinate across R&D, strategy, HR and business units to integrate academic insights. Facilitate knowledge transfer between BUs and researchers
4. Formulate and manage the budget plan for university-enterprise collaboration
5. Monitor and evaluate collaboration impact - Oversee project progress and ensure timely delivery of outcomes. Regularly review and refine the collaboration strategy
6. Drive Innovation through open collaboration - Leverage academic networks to explore emerging technologies and disruptive trends
7. Represent the company externally by building long-term relationship with professors, research leaders and university management
8. Steer the IPR topics from R&D slide especially on patent applications (Invention notifications, PEP patent check and innovation process), benchmark patent analysis, and patent exporting protections.
9. Steering as the PMO of the R&D Key projects, ensure the execution by synergizing with critical R&D BUs, aggregate insights, prioritize initiatives by strategic alignment.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Artificial Intelligence, or related engineering and management disciplines

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in university-enterprise collaboration, R&D IP management or industry-university-research cooperation in the R&D field

• Project management experience and Organization to manage multiple projects at once
