Main goals and objectives:
This position holder is responsible for the development of ADAS Driving & Parking Functions for all next generation of E/E architectures platforms used within the Volkswagen Group in China and is responsible for implementation. Located at Shanghai office, this position will not only work closely with Beijing and Germany headquarters, but also steer the work mode with local technical partners / suppliers to ensure successful collaboration. His / Her contribution would be critical to the next generation technical advanced driving and parking function from development, testing to releases, and strategic cooperation with local partners in China.

 

Your Responsibilities:
This position holds the responsibility of advanced driving and parking technical system operations in China for the described tasks for the VW group and the brands AUDI, VW and Porsche for the Chinese market. This position has to serve a large amount of interfaces within Volkswagen Group China, Headquarters in Germany as well as international suppliers in respective field of technology development for ADAS / ADAP / ICV. Both technical and project wise

1. Responsible for function module and systems development
•    
Specify function module, responsible for function module development and guarantee the feasibility of the function within the entire system
•    Set up proper function algorithms, based on understanding of general platform overview, function requirement inputs, deep dive of related algorithms, and result of prototype model.   
•    Set up prototype model for algorithms and concept verification
•    Based on system development process, generate function requirement, and break down the requirements towards needed under systems like software components, sensors, cameras or computer platform 
•    Align testing concept, test cases, test scenarios with testing teams
•    Integration software components into computer platform within the target vehicles
•    Ensure functionalities of defined features with customer aspect 
•    Release responded function module according to group process and requirements

2.  Responsible for architecture decisions, which relevant to responded functions
•    Align with other function owner for functional architecture decisions
•    Align with Software and Hardware owner for system architecture decisions
•    Ensure synergies and sustainability of architecture
•    Ensure implementation of technical interfaces between the systems
•    Enable the synergies with other functions on the same platform architecture

3. Responsible for Development and maintenance of the C|TF-3 strategy and alignment with 
stakeholders; Technical plan and strategy

•    Track state of art function and algorithms trends in the industry and make plans accordingly to function development
•    Draw up team development plan in order to generate features/functions that will be most competitive in the market
•    Responsible for alignment with stakeholders and relevant parties for function decisions, plans and tech contents

4. Stakeholder communication
•    Escalation and decision on adequate actions with relevant parties 
•    Responsible to deliver comprehensive status reports to Head of ADAS Driving & Parking functions (disciplinary) and Product Owner (technical)
•    Communication with other leaders, suppliers and interface partners 
•    Responsible for quality of suppliers’ deliveries and provide necessary feedback on results

5. Instruction and knowledge transfer and competence hand-over to colleagues
•    Knowledge and competence transfer to colleagues based on a handover or work split process 
•    Prepare and provide training material for colleagues
•    Technical insight of function and algorithms alignment with the development team and relevant colleagues

 

Requirements:
Necessary education:

PHD or Master degree in automotive, electrical, computer engineering or respective field 

Professional skills:
•    Profound knowledge of ADAS/AD systems in feature or system development
•    Good knowledge of automotive design processes and systems engineering
•    Good knowledge of E/E architecture
•    Knowledge of ISO26262, ASPICE preferred
•    Good knowledge of sensor set (ultrasonic, camera, radar, LiDAR), electronic modules (ECUs), vehicle communication architectures, software components for automated driving
•    Good Overview of state of art path planning and motion planning algorithms
•    On-hands experience in path/motion planning on embedded software development
•    Good coding skills: Python, C/C++, etc.
•    Structured working style, advanced time management and strong analytical skills 
•    Strong abilities in independent, self-organized work, and cross-functional/-entity collaboration
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills

Working experience (in years):
•    3~5 years in autonomous driving industry
