Position Name: Simulation Computational Fluid Dynamics

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for CFD simulations and validations of products (eg. Automotive batteries or e-drives or electronics) design throughout complete PEP (Product Emergency Process) period – from concept until SOP
• Responsible for Pre-Processing the simulation in case of  define and align 1. Meshing: Create a high-quality computational grid. 2. Physics: materials, models, and boundary conditions. 3. Solver: Configure algorithms and convergence setting and additional needed activities 
• Responsible for Run in case of the following activites: 1. Launching the Simulation - Submitting the solved case to a computational resource .2. Monitoring Convergence- Actively tracking solution residuals and relevant monitors for steady state and transient 3. Troubleshooting:identifying and resolving common solver issues such as divergence, instability, or slow convergence 4. Resource Management: Managing computational resources efficiently
• Responsible for Post-Processing:  1Visualization - plots etc. 2. Quantitative Analysis- Calculating key performance indicators (KPIs) like pressure drop, flow rates, heat transfer rates & forces. 3. Validation & Verification- Comparing CFD results with analytical models, experimental data, or empirical correlations to validate the accuracy of simulation. 4. Reporting-Synthesizing findings in reports or presentations for stakeholders, conclusion and design recommandation
• Define Thermal and fluid system solution for new or exist products in coorperation with HW/ Mechanical Design 
• Evaluation of simulation suppliers and steering the suppliers for simulation services.
• Being as the interface between VW Group, JVs and VWATJ internal  and external relevant departments in thermal and fluid related matters.
• Responsible for the definition of necessary simulation tools and processes for new products development in alignment with relevant stakeholders. 
• Supports the localization of components, the achievement of field complaints targets, participate and actively deliver input in Problem solving technical issues,  the goal of the ISO 9001 certification and the definition and the sourcing of work equipment.
• Supports the “continuous improvement process” in the company.
• Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder.
• Advising other people holding positions at VCIC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible.

Our Requirements:

• At least master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanics, thermal energy and power engineering, vehicle engineering, with focus on computational simulation of thermodynamic properties.
• Working experience as CFD-simulation engineer 1-3 years ideally in the automotive industry is preferable.
• Strong theoretical knowledge: Method of finite Elements, Theoretical Thermodynamics Material Knowledge.
• Proficient in mechanics professional knowledge.
• Familiar with at least one of the following software: ANSYS (Design Modeler, Space Claim, Fluent) or StarCCM+ or ANSA
• Good knowledge in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA V5 or Creo) is an advantage.
• English: oral basic (willing to learn), good in reading and writing.
• Good knowledge in office suite
