Position Name: Simulation Electromagnetic

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for electromagnetic and thermal simulations and validations of new products (f.e. automotive electric machines for e-drives) throughout the complete PDP (Product Development Process) period – from the very first concepts until the final series product.
• Responsible for the Electric isolation:collecting requirments, Norm research, calculation, simulation, testing definiton, implementation of rough isolation spec., support design eng.
• Responsible for finite element-based calculation of torque, performance and losses, steady-state and transient, of Permanent-Synchronous, Asynchronous and Electric Excited Synchronous Machines
• Responsible for Pre Processing : 1. the definition and alignment of specifications for simulation models. 2. Meshing: Create a high-quality computational grid. 3. Physics: materials, models, and boundary conditions. 4. Solver: Configure algorithms and convergence setting and additional needed activities 
• Responsible for Run in case of the following activites: 1. Launching the Simulation - Submitting the solved case to a computational resource .2. Monitoring Convergence- Actively tracking solution residuals and relevant monitors for steady state and transient 3. Troubleshooting:identifying and resolving common solver issues such as divergence, instability, or slow convergence 4. Resource Management: Managing computational resources efficiently
• Responsible for Post-Processing: 1. Visualization - plots etc. 2. Quantitative Analysis- Calculating key performance indicators (KPIs) 3. Validation & Verification- Comparing results with analytical models, experimental data, or empirical correlations to validate the accuracy of simulation. 4. Reporting-Synthesizing findings in reports or presentations for stakeholders, conclusion and design recommendation
• Responsible for the internal definition and automation including using AI for electromagnetic simulation tools , the usage and processes for new products development in alignment with relevant stakeholders & Evaluation of simulation suppliers and steering the suppliers for the simulation services. 
• Define Electromagnetic system solution for new products or improve exist products in cooperation with HW/ Mechanical Design, perform competitor analysis in electromagnetic and isolation matters.  
• Being as the interface between VW Group, JVs, VWATJ internal & external relevant departments, German simulation teams, system component suppliers in China and internal development engineers in electromagnetic related matters.
• Supports the “continuous improvement process” in the company.
• Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder.
• Advising other people holding positions at VCIC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible.

Our Requirements:

• At least master’s degree in electric engineering with focus on computational simulation of electric machines
• Working experience as ELMA-simulation engineer 1-3 years ideally in the automotive industry is preferable.
• Strong theoretical knowledge: Method of finite Elements, Theoretical Electromagnetic, Material Knowledge, Isolationsystems.
• Familiar with at least one of the following software: ANSYS Maxwell, ALTAIR Flux, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, ANSYS Simplorer
• Good knowledge in 1D thermal modeling with ANSYS MotorCad is an advantage.
