The position Internal Assessment and Process Optimization is responsible for definition of the internal assessment model and evaluation criteria for  VCTC in-house development process and activities, to ensure process maturity level in each development departments, and their capability to deliver qualified SW or functions for vehicle project in a stable and timely manner.     

Key Tasks:

Create a local quality assessment system for management of the self-development process (e.g. software, service, app., etc.) in close synchronization with development departments in VCTC

Define the assessment model and process of quality assessment on VCTC development departments and in house development activities, and develop the relevant templates, guidelines, checklists, and other materials.

Develop a pilot program and select pilot candidate among VCTC TE departments, to roll out the internal quality assessment models and adjust the models to ensure the feasibility and sustainability.

Plan and Implement the regular in house assessment activities on development teams of VCTC and communicate the result to relevant departments

Track the correction activities or improvement programs which is derived from assessment in development teams and report the status

Conduct the development quality technical revision on demand for some problematic development teams, e.g. triggered by issues such as serious delay or failure of delivery

Report the assessment results on the Management committee and support to make decision based on the results; Escalate critical case and development team to related committees in VCTC or vehicle projects

Continuously optimize the in house development quality assessment system and models

Develop internal training materials based on VW quality requirements, and regularly conduct relevant training sessions to provide guidance and support to team members in terms of software process quality assurance.

Participate in the review and coordination work of other systems (QMS, CSMS, etc.) to ensure that the in house software development processes meets the requirements of relevant management systems.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

Master/ Bachelor, field of automotive engineering (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering)

experience with System/Software Quality, System/Software Development process Audits, Software problem analysis (or similar) in medium to large (international) automotive QA org.

- Chinese and English in writing and conversation mandatory, German is preferable
- Minimum one of the international software quality related professional certifications such as ASPICE or Information Security
