Brief description of the position:
This position is to provide product-centric technology solutions with valuable and measurable contribution to the innovative strength of automotive products in VW Group, by initiating, implementing and managing projects, collaborating with partners and as result transferring innovation into series products.
This position is to provide product-centric technology solutions with valuable and measurable contribution to the innovative strength of automotive products in VW Group, by initiating, implementing and managing projects, collaborating with partners and as result transferring innovation into series products.
Key Tasks:
- Initiate and implement innovation projects with internal and external partners on technology field of position (referring to position name).
- Identify/scout advanced technology solutions in region China, derive innovation projects and deliver innovation to relevant stakeholders within VW Group.
- Build network of internal stakeholders, partners and customers as initiators for project demands and align deliverables of innovation projects.
- Report and transfer innovation project results to relevant series development stakeholder partners within VW Group to contribute to its product innovation.
- Establish and maintain relations with innovative companies and institutions to enable collaboration including, but not limited to innovation pre-development and validation.
- Periodical Innovation representation: Present projects progress to management and customers (e.g. IVET, Future Mobility Days, project reviews etc.).
- Project management: Drive the project moving forward independently, and manage project's progress, deliverables, budget spending and documentation.
- Build-up innovation strategy and roadmap and ensure innovation strength of projects in responsibility by knowing and anticipating innovation trends in academia, innovative companies, competition etc.
- Support colleagues within Innovation Center Asia and beyond in whole VW AG on position's related technology field and topics.
- Proactively participate in company-wide events and initiatives, reflecting company values and culture.
Qualification and skills required for the position:
Education:
Master and above degree with major in science and engineering related to technology field of position

Working experience:
Min. 3 years working/research experience within the technology field of position, experience within automotive industry preferred
Min. 3 years working/research experience within the technology field of position, experience within automotive industry preferred
Knowledge, skills and others:
- Self-motivated and dedicated to exploring technologies in the field of the position and beyond
- Capability to work and drive projects independently as well as being a team player to collaborate with internal and external partners
- Inter-cultural and multi-language communication skills
- Fluent in Chinese and English, German is a plus
- Project management skills
- Bandwidth of technical knowledges relevant to technology field of position
