Key tasks:
1. Lead a team of semiconductor engineers in the design, development, and validation of power semiconductor hardware from wafer substrate till devices.
2. Define project objectives, timelines, and resource requirements, and ensure that the team meets project milestones and deliverables.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system, mechanical, and software engineers, to integrate hardware components into the electric vehicle platform.
4. Conduct detailed analysis and simulation of hardware designs to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability.
5. Oversee the power semiconductor design process, ensuring compliance with design guidelines, electrical safety standards, and thermal management requirements.
6. Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
7. Oversee hardware validation and reliability testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
8. Work closely with suppliers and external partners to source components, materials, fabrication, and engineering services for power semiconductor development.
9. Technical interface with cross-functional teams.
10. Lead team innovation and incorporate relevant innovations into hardware design strategies.
11. Communicate regularly with management and stakeholders, providing updates on project status, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above (or comparable degree in major) major in Electrical engineering, physics, material science or relative fields.
2. Over 7 years solid leading experiences of hardware design and development of power semi-conductor in the chip industry.
3. Strong leadership skills, with experience leading hardware development teams and managing complex projects.
4. Proficiency in semiconductor design IT tools
5. Experience with thermal management techniques and simulation tools for heat dissipation analysis.
6. Knowledge of automotive SPICE, ISO 26262, or similar quality and safety standards for automotive hardware development.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
