key task:

1. Conduct HMI-focused user research (personas, journey mapping, usability testing) and translate insights into actionable interaction design requirements for context-specific use cases (e.g., in-vehicle low-distraction, industrial operator efficiency).
2. Design end-to-end HMI/UX solutions: create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and define HMI interaction logic (navigation, controls, feedback mechanisms) aligned with user needs and product goals.
3. Collaborate with UI/visual designers to align interaction design with HMI visual language, ensuring a cohesive user experience across all HMI touchpoints (screens, HUDs, control panels).
4. Partner closely with engineering teams to validate design feasibility for embedded systems, resolve technical constraints (e.g., hardware performance, display limits), and iterate on designs for smooth implementation.
5. Optimize existing HMI/UX designs by analyzing user feedback, usage data, and usability metrics; identify and resolve interaction pain points to boost efficiency and user satisfaction.
6. Contribute to the development and maintenance of HMI/UX design standards, component libraries, and best practices; support junior designers with design reviews and mentorship.
7. Participate in cross-functional product planning (with product, engineering, QA) to align HMI/UX design with product roadmaps, regulatory compliance, and brand experience.
8. Create detailed HMI design documentation (specs, prototype annotations) to ensure accurate implementation and handoff to development teams.
9. Deep understanding of user-centered design (UCD) methodology and HMI-specific interaction principles; ability to design for constrained embedded system environments
10. Experience creating interactive HMI prototypes that simulate real-world use cases (e.g., touch/voice/physical control input, varying viewing environments).

Qualification:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Interaction Design, UX Design, HMI Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
2. 4–7+ years of professional HMI/UX design experience (automotive/industrial HMI experience a strong plus).
3. Proficiency in UX/HMI design tools: Figma, Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD (prototyping/wireframing) and basic motion design tools (AE) for HMI transition visuals. Strong cross-functional communication skills: ability to articulate design rationales to non-design stakeholders and collaborate effectively with engineering teams on feasibility. A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end HMI/UX projects (research, prototyping, implementation, iteration) for embedded systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills; attention to detail in interaction design and ability to iteration.
