Primarily this position is responsible for the planning and realization of production lines and/or production line equipment and/or line control systems (MES), support during series production, evaluation and implementation of engineering change orders as well as optimization of concepts within the Battery plant in Hefei.

This position plays a major role to keep the defined milestones and the cost, quality and time targets of each project.  As it is dealing mainly with new and future projects, it has a high impact on the overall business results and the long-term future of the company

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Project release

• Responsible for planning related work including defining manufacturing concept, generating specifications, follow the whole bidding process (inclusive technical quotation evaluation, payment schedule, project millstone, technical Clarification meeting and deliver nomination recommendation), preparing BM-Paper, allocation, Kick-off supplier and related departments, production status control, preliminary acceptance, delivery control, hook up, machine/construction installation and supervision, machine/construction acceptance, coordinate and manage the onsite supplier
• Monitoring of adherence of project deadlines, available project budget and milestones as VFA, PVS, 0-S, SOP etc.
• Preparation of necessary decision making committees for project release as well as coordination of appointments for preparation of project information for the decision making committee in Germany
• Presentation of project documents within the different decision making committees of VGC and VWAG

Planning department organizatio

• Indemnification and controlling of adherence of international project standards of the VWAG (e.g. PEP; Weissbuch)
• Organization and coordination of the planning department (fachlich)
• Coordination of interfaces within the Battery plant, as well as VGC and VWAG (interface-departments: TQ, TL, TPW, IE, TP, CP, CF, TD, PM, BoM, VGC, VWAG)
• Organization and coordination of project related as well as planning department related workshops (e.g. Material-Flow-WS, 3-P-WS, P-FMEA-WS etc)
• Realization of VWAG standards within the responsible project area
• Propose processes improvement

Project controlling

• Appropriation of project related information in professional groups as SET-Meetings, Pilothallen-Meetings, Werkanlaufrunden, Project-Meetings etc.
• Organization and sharing of planning and project related documents and knowledge/ information

Qualification and skills:

•    Bachelor degree or above in Business Administration, Mechanical/Industrial engineering or Automobile related fields
•    2 years full time working experience, ideally in the field of automotive or battery planning
•    Proficient in Chinese, German and/or English fluently in speaking and writing, both German and English would be preferred
•    Ability to work in an international company and team
