Brief description of the position:

The position is responsible for developing inhouse production in press shop and processes. Ensuring target achievement of equipment in press shop, establish processes in terms of technical, quality, cost and  project capacities. The Electric Electronic Planner is responsible for press shop equipment, interfacing between Production, Maintenance, Logistic, Purchasing, Suppliers and IT Department to ensure that the  press shop achieve the capacity according to the agreed volumes. Check and/or creation of alternative concepts within the planning projects. Support of planning premises taking into account the department  strategy as well as designing economical and process reliable electric electronic concepts. Support of planning projects in internal committees. Implementation of innovations and improvements in the area of  responsibility.  Implementation of new cost-optimized manufacturing concepts.



Key Tasks:

  • Planning of production concepts and/or structures in existing and new car plants of Volkswagen Anhui.
  • Utilize a comprehensive database of advanced troubleshooting techniques for pinpointing electrical and electronic faults within complex equipment control systems.
  • Evaluating and presentation the individual KPIs (production capacity, safety, automation, digital Innovation) in committees and pointing out solution strategies in case of target deviations.
  • Planning, identification and assessment of required production resources (e.g. investment, time plan production area, manpower) as well as their sustainable reduction.
  • Technical competence in industrial networks (PROFINET, ETHERNET) and safety concepts, industrial robots, electronic crossbar transfer; PLC Programming via SIMENZ TIA Portal software.
  • Confident utilization of department specific IT-Systems (BDE, Thingworx, CATIA V5, HLS Micro-station, SCADA, SIMENZ PLS or TwinCAT,and Worker guidance, tightening systems).
  • Utilize digital twins to develop and test PLC programs, identify potential bottlenecks, and optimize press cycle times before physical line implementation.
  • Development of strategies for optimal production (SPM strokes per minute).
  • Generate requirement specifications, call for proposals and perform technical negotiations with suppliers.
  • Steering internal and external customers, suppliers and service providers during plant construction and ramp-up of new car projects in compliance with the product development process.

 

 

Qualification and skills:

  • Degree in technical engineering in one of the following subjects: Mechanics, Electrics, Vehicle development, Computer science.
  • Bachelor's degree with more than 5years working experience or master's degree with at least 2 years working experience.
  • Expertise in advanced PLC programming techniques using Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal software.
  • Expert understanding of motion control principles, servo systems, encoder feedback mechanisms, and advanced control algorithms.
  • Proven ability to utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools for electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Business management skills.
  • Communication fluently in English and Chinese, German language is a plus.
  • Knowledge about Volkswagen standards, processes and systems, i.e. VW group Press shop white book, PEP, BDE and Thingworx is a plus.
  • High degree of responsibility and professionalism with self-organizing skills.
  • Communication skills and the ability to work with MS-office to create consistent presentations to make product version comparisons.
  • Experience in a cross-cultural work environment is a plus.
