Brief description of the position:

The Material cost Aggregation is a systematic work that runs from Product Start to SOP. This work is mainly responsible for consolidating the entire Vehicle material cost evaluation, inkl. main Volume&Palette(Equipments) according to Project premise, setting Fachgruppe Target&Palette Target, Preparing the MEK Status Report for milestones, PK, PSK etc., achieving the project profitability goals.

Key Tasks:

• In the early stage of new vehicle development, based on market positioning and expected profits, establish a target cost for the entire vehicle and distributing to fach teams, harmonization with R&D and purchasing department.
• Continuous, transparent tracking and presentation of Vehicle material cost, Monitoring the deviation between the actual cost and the target cost of the project, identify risks and propose corrective measures.
• Preparation and harmonization of project decisions and cost estimations (e.g. benchmark workshops, Make-or-buy calculations)
• Lead or participate in Value Engineering/Value Analysis (VAVE) activities, exploring cost reduction opportunities from dimensions such as design origin, process optimization, material substitution.
• Independent financial consultations for business units and financial project leaders.
• Process optimizations and developing new ideas to further optimize financial results.
• Optimization of the material cost reporting structure by implementing enhanced digitalization reporting tools (as PowerBI).
• Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder.

Qualification and skills:

• University degree in Business or Finance or Mechanical Engineering or similar, technical，business/finance interest is a plus

Working experience:

• Professional working experience is a plus
