Brief description of the position:
1.Smart Factory Roadmap Design and Update: Evaluate economic feasibility and applicability to ensure VWA introduces advanced technologies in a reasonable and transparent manner.
2.Automation, Digitalization and AI Use Case implementation as Project Manager:Design project plans and promote the implementation, guided by the orientation of efficiency improvement and low-cost, in-house manner.
Key Tasks:
- Update Smart Factory Roadmap to integrate advanced tech reasonably and transparently.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align needs for Smart Factory Roadmap design.
- Assess tech economic feasibility & applicability for Smart Factory Roadmap alignment with VWA goals.
- As Project manager lead automation use case projects, designing plans focused on efficiency and low cost.
- Drive digitalization and automation project implementation with in-house resources per roadmap orientation..
- Gather and integrate departmental requirements for tech feasibility evaluation
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute automation/digitalization/AI project milestones.
- Collect and disseminate best practice case studies from VW JV partners to relevant VWA departments. Communicate roadmap updates and project status to stakeholders transparently.
- Track project progress, address bottlenecks to ensure on-time, in-house implementation
- Optimize in-house project delivery processes for automation/digitalization/AI initiatives.
- Monitor use case progress through regular check-ins with project owners/teams and track realized benefits
Qualification and skills required for the position:
- Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in relevant fields such as Mechanical Engineering, CS, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.
- Over 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, familiar with stamping, welding, painting, final assembly, and battery processes. At least 1 years of Smart project management experience.
- Solid understanding of smart manufacturing technology (IIoT, AI/ML, Robotics, Big Data Analytics, Computer Vision, Digital Twins, MES, etc.)
- Ability to use at least one Programming language(Python, Java, C#, etc.).
- Have strong capabilities in economic feasibility analysis, technical applicability evaluation, and project planning
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across teams (IT, Engineering, Finance).
- Strong capability to manage multiple parallel tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders efficiently.
- Fluent English in Reading & Writing. German is a plus.
