This position performs polymer material test for interior parts in Volkswagen Anhui. It guarantees the full scale of analysis and issues release recommendation (first sample release) in accordance with VW Group Standards. By analyzing failure cases, it contributes to the prevention of customer claims. It also supports a serial monitoring to determine if the performance fulfills VW requirements.

Key Tasks:

1.Test polymer materials and interpret results in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards to issue a release recommendation (first sample release). 

2. Perform detailed failure analysis, define possible root causes and corrective measures to support the failure resolution process (FAP) in Volkswagen Anhui. 

3. Participate in proficiency testing according the requirements of Volkswagen Group to ensure technical competence. 

4. Implement Volkswagen Group polymer material quality requirements for material relevant issues in Volkswagen Anhui, including lessons learned. 

5. Participate in all polymer material trainings defined for the position and join the corresponding know how exchange networks within Volkswagen Group in China. 

6. Support the serial monitoring for Polymer Interior parts, in accordance with the requirements of Volkswagen Group. 

7. Evaluate supplier laboratories and 3rd party to ensure material testing in accordance with Volkswagen Group standards. 

8. Coordinate the calibration and maintenance of the testing equipment under its responsibility. 

9. Suggest investment needed for polymer material testing. 

10. Fulfill the requirements regarding quality system, work safety and environmental protection. 

Qualification and skills required for the position: 

- Bachelor or other higher technical education 

- Minimum of 3 years Automobile Manufacturing work in the areas of Production, Quality or Research & Development. Strong experience in the use of polymer materials is preferred.

- Knowledge in one of the following areas:

• Engineering or natural sciences

• Material technology

• Chemistry and physics

• Chemical engineering

• Mechanical engineering

- Fluent English is required for this position, German language is also desired. Knowledge of office IT-Systems Communication and presentation skills
