This position ensures the dimensional evaluation and analysis of Press shop single parts (Off-Line), in accordance with Volkswagen standards, TSQ and Volkswagen measurement strategies. The position ensures that the relevant parts fulfill the dimensional requirements in accordance with the technical drawing, it supports the dimensional problem resolution process in Volkswagen Anhui.

Key Tasks:

1. Support planning activities for the press shop measurement analysis in Volkswagen Anhui.
2. Perform Press shop measurement analysis, following established plan, identify process deviations and start problem resolution.
3. Create press shop evaluation reports, including a clear statement if the parts fulfill the dimensional requirements.
4. Assemble and disassemble of parts in press shop functional area to perform dimensional evaluation.
5. Operate the measurement equipment; including offline programming of CMM & GOM Scan boxes and portable equipment if applicable.、
6. Track dimensional deviation points that should be optimized on the relevant parts. Support the root cause analysis to solve dimensional deviations.
7. Start escalation process immediately in case of critical dimensional deviations (relevant to the vehicle function) compared to previous measurements.
8. Validate tolerances defined in the technical drawings and PMP; validate as well the measurement accuracy.
9. Plan and validate press shop measurement fixtures and structures as sandwich plates.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or other higher technical education: Preferably in Mechanical or Vehicle Engineering. (Advanced Professional Training)

• Minimum of 3 years of measuring technology experience with automobile background
• Engineering / technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial)

• Experience with 3D-Measurement Equipment 
• Experience with Measurement Software
• Strong knowledge of coordinate systems and Alignments
• Measurement Proficiency
• Experience in metrology
• Experience on automotive manufacturing
• Knowledge on dimensional measurement Software (PiWeb)
