This position holds the responsibility for dimensional analysis and optimization of BiW in Pilothall for Body shop.

Key Tasks:

1. Analyzing problems: conduct problem analysis with tools of the VW brand according to problem analysis processes, identify causes of problems, analyze data collections and use them for problem solving, trial and validate new processes by orientating to an integrated overall process.
2. Solving problems: identify problems and need for action early, consider problems from different perspectives, analyze causes and effects of the problems and identify relevant relationships between them, reduce complex problems down to workable elements and then develop own improvement approaches.
3. Checking equipments: Lead the checking processes for product quality, analyze measurement reports and the connection of the functional dimensions of the body to the ZSB's, perform a quality check of the finished product, which is focused on the important zones and the impact on the final product audit, compare the evaluations for the different checkpoints in the production process and apply the suitable factory standards for solving quality problems.
4. Reading technical reports: read and understand Fugenmass drawings and the Funktionsmass catalogue, comprehend the relevant inspection catalogue, PMP, the reference point system (RPS), joining sequences and clamping sequences, the Fugenplan (gaps and flushness) from Quality and the vehicle coordinate system, read and interpret drawings and measurement reports.
5. Verifying buildability: identify buildability relevant problems, initiate solutions to the identified problems, validate the solution process for the problems, derive and achieve the buildability evidence at the respective milestones.
6. Performing virtual analysis: understand the concept for virtual analysis, perform virtual analysis and evaluate results within buildability aspects, identify deviations (e.g. buildability deviations), escalate issues when analysis is not available and/or not carried out, or at problem points.
7. Reviewing fixture design: check the relevant fixtures, joining sequences, RPS systematic, facility technology and processes, identify the product derivatives and influences on the fixtures, analyze design concepts, evaluate and initiate measures, track the implementation of measures, understand the concept "near-to-series devices in Body Shop and/or Assembly".
8. Conducting fitment tryouts (EBV): evaluate the complete vehicle assembly process (product defects, line stoppages etc.), understand the guidelines for carrying out fitment tryouts (documentation etc.), evaluate part statuses according to VW Note systematic (Bemusterung), check the impacts of evaluations (costs, buildability etc.).
9. Making master parts: create master parts according to demand, evaluate the results and afterwards implement the master parts accordingly.
10. Managing projects: understand and monitor the achievement of the technical project objectives, ensure project target setting and definition, manage projects under constrained resources, identify project risks and find countermeasures, evaluate the effects of changes in their project, bring measures to implementation after approval, document changes and measures and also create project status reports for presentation.

Qualification and skills:

Bachelor degree or above in engineering and/or equivalent experience in automotive BiW production.

Over 3 years of working experience, automotive background preferred.Experience in automotive manufacturing and/or automotive body weld equipment manufacturing

Expert in analyzing root causes of BiW and assembly deviations as well as in identifying and implementing effective countermeasure using analytical, conceptual and creative thinking, outstanding spatial ability for problem solving. 
Advanced experience in building pre-series-cars / prototype cars and buildability.
Advanced experience in project management. 
Strong metrological and quality understanding of production, such as Fuegemeisterbock (FMB), PMP, RPS, Fugenplan etc. to conduct dimensional analysis.
Excellent presentation, communication and business English skills.
