Brief description of the position:
This position is an important connection between R&D and Production and is responsible for the technical data management relating to the BOM for Production & Logistics. Maintenance of Taufung data and timely and accurate maintenance of the Production BOM to ensure effective operation of the supply chain data flow.
Key Tasks:
Setup, activation and startup of initial data in the system at the beginning of a new project and update, modification of system rules, if necessary.
Preparation and coordination of the Taufung regular meetings in the pre-series phase, cooperate with relevant departments to control the definition of part assembly level and workshop location, maintenance of the system, and solve problems encountered in this process.
Provision of accurate vehicle data (P-BOM) through daily work lists and daily queries to internal and external stakeholders on a continuous basis in series and pre-series to secure forecasting and supply of parts, correct build-up of vehicles and correct vehicle costs for financial accounting and budget forecasting.
Control of temporary and permanent correction of the P-BOM through the required emergency deviation and system based deviation and technical change intention to secure compliance to company guidelines in the event of inaccurate vehicle data resulting in incorrect part demand, vehicle build up, CP8 release or vehicle costing.
Consultancy services for data users, be able to identify problems in the data transmission process and quickly analyze the causes and develop corresponding solutions.
Necessary system controls and tests based on upstream and downstream requirements to ensure the effective transmission of the parts information in the production.
Provide various reports and part lists as required by the project.
Support the implementation or extension of IT systems. Confirm the business blueprint and business process of the localization system with the IT department, and assist in the data preparation and migration after the system goes live.
Prepare and release standard documents, work processes and QMS documents.
Identify areas of potential improvement within Pre-series Logistics.
Qualification and skills required for the position:
Bachelor degree or higher from university
3 years work experience, automotive background preferred. Experience in Logistics preferred.
Familiar with vehicle structure and manufacturing processes. Familiar with the parts list system of Volkswagen Group. Strong sense of self-drive, responsibility and full of innovation. Good communication skills, teamwork and work efficiently under high pressure. Proficient in the use of MS Office software. Able to use data analysis software e.g. Power BI or Python is beneficial. Excellent language skills in English (written and spoken). German proficiency is beneficial. Project management and OEM new vehicle project experience is beneficial.
