Brief description of the position:
The VWA-specific Ecosystem-, Data-Analytics & Core-Connectivity PM-team has E2E responsibility for data-alysis of field-vehicles (e.g. usage behaviours), benchmark and trends and defining and implementing concrete Ecosystem optim. for all VWA carline products. The team also ensures the Core-Connectivity PM-work (Scope, Cost, Timing, Quality, incl. Export) with main focus on MM-based projects.
Key Tasks:
Define and own the VWA-specific Ecosystem roadmap including both HW- & SW-based product-features and functions for the whole VWA vehicle portfolio at SOP and over the lifecycle in alignment with all involved technical- and business-stakeholders, putting cost-efficiency, competitiveness and timing into priority of all actions
Clarify and synchronize key interdependencies (technical, cost, timing) with relevant and responsible partners in HW- & SW development (VCTC, One-Team, Cariad, Carizon, other suppliers), in Group functions (e.g. VCIC product strategy/ product management), sales & marketing (e.g. DSSO) and in relevant VWA teams (Product Lines, Finance & Controlling, Quality, Production, OTA team/OTA steering committee, Feature Board,...)
Lead cost negotiations with group- & technology partners for digital ecosystem scopes and cost allocations (development-, license-, operation cost (where applicable)) and potential customization scopes in accordance to aligned rollout-plan, take-rate, user-hats, function-scope. Synchronize respective project-cost impacts with vehicle product-line and product-controlling and define cost-reduction measures.
Core Product Management scope: generate technology-, function-, timing- and cost transparency via dedicated decision papers and committee presentations with main focus on the MM project and achieve (sub-) project approvals, ensure corresponding cost-planning reflection in (vehicle-) projects and planning round to ensure a robust roadmap financing
Manage the data-analysis workstream (e.g. based on defined bury-points) for all existing field products. Ensure continuous monitoring, assessment and know-how sharing on competitor moves, market trends, regulation landscape and long-term strategical direction of Volkswagen Group- and competitor roadmaps, deduct relevant implications and action fields for VWA. Safeguard VW Anhui interests in project’s early phases on regional level.
Lead the GMD Digital Ecosystem PM team as well as cross-functional activities to be organized via product teams. Follow up the implementation of the product decision. Analyze & align the definition, requirements, properties and technical concepts to realize digital ecosystem features and derived VWA-specific functions re. technology, timeline and profitability. Generate Business-Cases for VWA/DSSO-specific product requests/customizations.
Decide in technical areas overarching conflicts and announce risks, realize measures for operative management. Align and solve overarching conflicts within project stakeholders and their teams as well as platform developers; align on any topics with financial implementation and achieve decision making. Harmonize direction for module-related topics with other JVs representatives where necessary and possible.
Prepare and contribute relevant contents and aligned decision papers to (directional) decision making committees and product committees including but not limited to Connectivity Product Teams, Vehicle Product Teams, Function Readiness Meeting, OTA project team meeting, OTA Steering Committee, Feature Board, VWA PK/PSK, CTC-TG, VCTC CEA Decision Board, VCIC GF, VCIC CEA PT, VCIC-VAP, relevant brand Volkswagen (WOB) committees,..
Proactively contribute to the VWA-GM Feature Board preparation and conduction and ensure accurate reflection of project status and idea-roadmap related to the VWA digital Ecosystem for both VWA-specific features as well as shared/customized-scopes. Contribute to the stroryline/topic-selection, data- and expertise-based assessments and recommendations for concrete actions and decision making during the meeting.
Proactively contribute to the regular platform-overarching PR/CR hub meeting and/or lead the meeting if necessary. Contribute to and/or organize if necessary (alternating) GMD-lead meetings and committees (e.g. weekly Digital Product Management meetings, Product Teams, OTA-Steering Committee or similar formats)
Qualification and skills required for the position:
Master in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or economic studies accompanied with technical/product qualification • Preferable certified project management qualification
at least 5 years working experience in auto industry incl. OEM or supplier, experience with german employers will be preferred
Proven record of automotive product- & project management experience
Understanding of automotive processes and procedures, experience in Volkswagen Group organization, systems and processes will be preferred
Knowledge of project management process paired with business acumen and know-how
Strong communication, coordination and organizational skills

Proactive, independent &self-motivated working style, passion for products
Willingness to work under pressure and to learn from challenging experiences
Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and speaking
German language skill will be a plus
